Marigold, also called Calendula is best known as a skin-friendly plant.

Calendula contains saponins and carotenoids, which have the effect of maintaining the well-being of the skin, the regeneration of the skin's surface tissue and mucous membranes. The ingredients it contains make it easier to soothe scaly and itchy skin and soothe insect bites. Calendula may also promote the healing of sunburns, useful in the summer for horses with light colored nose that burn easily.

It is also well suited for the normal well-being of the urinary tract of horses and dogs.

Marigold polysaccharides and flavonoids maintain the body's own immune system function. Calendula is antibacterial and antimicrobial. It also contains antioxidants, carotenoids, tanning agents, salicylic acid and essential oils. Together with cleavers, it maintains the body's optimal lymphatic circulation and supports the normal functioning of the kidneys.
