Gingko helps improve the short-term memory of early diagnosed Alzheimer disease. Has a mild blood thinning effect and helps overall cerebral circulation carrying vital oxygen and nutrients to the brain. Inhibits the platelet aggregation factor (PAF), the mechanism that causes slow moving or obstructed blood to become "sticky" and begin forming into clots. Great herb for older animals, especially with weakened or impaired kidneys. The leaves of ginkgo tree contain ginkgolides - compounds that are not found in any other plant.

These and other active substances give ginkgo biloba its reputation for having remarkable circulation stimulating properties.

If the horse is suffering from laminitis, it is useful to add it´s diet herbs which promote peripheral circulation such as ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba). It will help to regulate horse’s blood sugar and increase circulation to those sensitive bones in the hooves.

    1 tbsp = 2 g.
