Hemp protein is made from domestically grown hemp seeds, from which the majority of the oil has been pressed out. Hemp protein is rich in protein (35%), but contains only relatively little (11%) fat. Therefore, it is a good protein supplement without excessive energy or fat. It is excellently suited, for example, for horses that exercise actively but are efficient feed utilisers and belong to the so-called "weight watchers" group, as well as for sport horses that need additional protein to support muscle mass development. Hemp protein is also rich in fibre, which is important for stomach function and digestion.
Hemp protein is efficiently absorbed by the horse and is suitable for building and maintaining muscle mass as well as supporting normal muscle function. An excellent complement to the basic diet.
