Let's Detox – herbal blend as part of a varied diet for horses
Let's Detox is a 100% natural, versatile herbal blend that brings a variety of traditionally used plants to your horse's diet. The blend contains roots, leaves, flowers and seeds that add natural plant variety and a diverse range of plant-based nutrients to the diet.
In the wild, horses graze on dozens of different plants throughout the year. In stable conditions, feeding is often considerably less varied, which is why herbal blends are commonly used to bring additional plant-based variety to the diet.
The horse's body continuously processes nutrients and maintains its own natural balancing processes. These processes include, for example, digestion, nutrient utilisation, and the body's own mechanisms for processing and eliminating substances.
Let's Detox reflects the idea of herbal feeding: periodically adding a diverse herbal blend to the diet as a course to bring variety and different plants as part of the horse's diet.
Many of the plants used in such herbal blends are root plants, such as dandelion and burdock roots. The root parts of plants naturally accumulate plant nutrients and compounds, and they have been traditionally used as part of a plant-based diet.
Plants naturally contain various compounds, such as polyphenols, bitter compounds and aromatic compounds. These compounds are part of the plants' own structure and metabolism.
In spring, herbs are often added to the diet as the grazing season approaches and the feeding changes. The same often happens in autumn during the transition to the indoor feeding season. Herbal blends are then used periodically as part of a varied diet.
