Chia seeds are a great source of vitamins, minerals and trace elements. All of these nutrients have their own important roles to play.

Vitamin A: helps to soften the tissue and in bone formation, produce the necessary pigments in the retina of the eye. An important vitamin for correct eyesight. 

Vitamin B1: Useful for the conversion of sugars, oxygen metabolism management as well as for transmission of nerve impulses.

Vitamin B2: essential for fat and protein metabolism of food and energy conversion.

Vitamin B3: an important promoter of cell metabolism. It is also involved in DNA repair. It is also related to the production of sex hormones and stress hormones.

Vitamin B9: an important vitamin for nervous system and bone marrow function. Needed to prevent fetal spina bifida  and promote cell regeneration.
