A complementary feed for horses containing Lithothanium calcareum algae, sea buckthorn meal, and chia meal.

Lithothanium calcareum algae is exceptionally rich in calcium. Calcium from organic sources is considered important for buffering excess stomach acid, counteracting the harmful effects of gastric acid, and maintaining the correct pH balance. Sea buckthorn meal is high in antioxidants that support intestinal health, such as vitamins C and E, as well as many bioactive compounds that promote overall wellbeing. Studies have shown that sea buckthorn has beneficial effects on digestive health. Chia meal, which is high in fiber and valuable omega fatty acids, provides beneficial fibers for digestion and the gut microbiome. In addition, it produces abundant mucilage, which has favorable effects on the normal function of the digestive tract.

Dosage for a 500 kg horse:

70 g per day.

Mix with water or into moist feed. Can be used as a course or for maintenance as needed.

Package size: 3 kg.

A study in horses showed that 40 g/day of Lithothanium calcareum algae for 30 days reduced gastric ulcers in horses. All horses showed significant improvement in ulcer scores; seven achieved a score of zero (completely healed, no signs of new ulcers) and two achieved a score of one (minor inflammation or keratinization at the sites of healed ulcers).
