Burdock Root for horses and dogs
Burdock root traditionally belongs to a varied herbal diet and is used in situations where the overall diet is being reviewed, particularly during active daily routines and dietary transitions.
When the diet takes gut and skin health into account as a whole
Burdock root is rich in inulin, which is a soluble fibre.
Inulin belongs to prebiotics, i.e. compounds that are considered as nutrition for the bacteria living in the gut as part of normal digestion.
The gut is a central part of daily nutritional balance, and the overall diet is often also considered from the perspective of metabolism as well as skin and coat, particularly during active daily routines.
Natural composition of the plant
Burdock root naturally contains, among others:
- inulin (approx. 27–45 %)
- carbohydrates and mucilage
- polyphenols
- essential oil compounds
- tannins
Burdock root also naturally contains compounds naturally found in plants with a mildly bitter taste, which are part of its natural composition and are associated with traditional use as part of a varied herbal diet. Bitter compounds are associated with the body's normal digestive process.
A natural part of a balanced diet
Plant-based raw materials, such as burdock root, bring fibres and naturally occurring plant compounds to the diet as part of a daily, balanced whole.
Burdock root is suitable for situations where you want to add variety and plant-based raw materials as part of a balanced diet.
