CdG Keep Calm & Take Trypto

– when everyday life demands more balance

Keep Calm & Take Trypto is a complementary feed containing tryptophan, chelated magnesium chelate, brewer's yeast, and rosehip, designed to be included as part of the horse's daily diet, especially during demanding or changing situations, active training, competitions, and other physically strenuous periods.

Training and muscle work increase energy consumption. During such periods, the nutrient content and balance of the diet become particularly important as part of the horse's normal metabolism, recovery, muscle function, and daily stamina.

The nutrients in this product are associated with the physiological processes of the nervous system, muscles, and energy metabolism.

Brewer's yeast – B vitamins and a nutritional perspective on gut health

Brewer's yeast is a natural source of B vitamins. B vitamins participate in energy metabolism as well as the normal function of the nervous system and muscles.

It typically contains thiamine (B1,

5–15 mg), riboflavin (B2,

3–10 mg), niacin (B3,

30–60 mg) and pyridoxine (B6, 2–6 mg), which participate in energy metabolism as well as the normal function of the nervous system and muscles.

Brewer's yeast also contains approximately 40–45 % protein on a dry matter basis, as well as amino acids.

The yeast cell wall is composed of beta-glucans and mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS), which are part of the yeast's natural structure and have been examined from a nutritional perspective as part of equine feeding.

Tryptophan – an essential amino acid

Tryptophan is an essential amino acid that the horse obtains from its diet daily. Amino acids serve as building blocks for proteins and participate in numerous normal metabolic pathways in the body.

Tryptophan acts as a precursor to serotonin in the body. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter of the nervous system that participates in communication between nerve cells as part of normal physiology. Serotonin is known as the feel-good hormone.

Adequate intake of tryptophan is part of a balanced diet, especially for actively exercised horses.

Magnesium – muscle work and normal nervous system function

Magnesium is a mineral that participates in the normal function of muscles and the nervous system, as well as energy metabolism.

As muscle work increases, magnesium intake is one of the factors to consider in the overall diet for the normal function, recovery, and stamina of the muscular system.

The magnesium used in the Keep Calm & Take Trypto product is an organic amino acid chelate.

The daily dose (30 g) contains 4760 mg of magnesium and 2,4 g of tryptophan.

Rosehip – antioxidant vitamin C

Rosehip naturally contains vitamin C (approx. 200–1500 mg / 100 g) and polyphenolic compounds, which are part of the plant's natural composition. Antioxidants participate in protecting cells from oxidation as part of the body's normal processes.
